Courses offered
The Casa de Cultura Britânica (CCB) offers English courses for learners of all levels, from beginners to highly proficient users of the language. Each course is carefully structured to help students build and demonstrate their skills in accordance with international standards.
All programs follow the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), an internationally recognized benchmark for describing language proficiency. The CEFR organizes learning into three main categories: A, B, and C, each divided into two sublevels, providing a clear and reliable pathway for language development.

Students who would like to start from the beginning should take an Entrance Test. - How long does each course last?
Each semester course consists of 32 in-person classes (each class consists of 100 minutes). Depending on the level, programs may extend from one to three semesters. - Do students receive certification?
Yes. Upon successful completion of a level, students are granted an official certificate issued by the Federal University of Ceará, aligned with CEFR standards. - What teaching approach is used?
The Communicative Approach is extensively used throughout the courses. The teachers emphasize practical language use while solid skills in reading, listening, speaking, and writing are highly encouraged and practiced.
